Biography

Pablo Maldonado oversees the Creative’s portfolio of programs in 21 countries worldwide that are implemented by the three program divisions: Education for Development; Communities in Transition; and Economic Growth.

Since joining in 1983, Pablo has served Creative in various roles including most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Operations and as Acting Director of the Communities in Transition division. Under his direction, he helped position the firm as a leading implementer of programs in conflict-affected environments. He has also directed Creative’s two Regional Offices, in Nairobi, Kenya and in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Previously he chaired the D.C. Commission on Latino Community Development and served on the D.C. Privatization of Municipal Services Commission. His former board affiliations include serving on Leadership Washington, Inc.; Greater D.C. Cares; the United Negro College Fund Advisory Board of Washington D.C.; Youth Leadership of Greater Washington, Inc.; D.C. Hotline; Centro de Arte; World Cup USA 1994 of Washington D.C., and the Mayor’s Inner City Soccer Program. In 1992, he chaired the 1992 Adams Morgan YMCA Partner with Youth campaign.

Pablo received a B.A. in industrial engineering from the School of Mathematics, Physics and Engineering at Catholic University in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was born. He also received a M.A. in marketing from the Kogod School of Business Administration at American University in Washington, D.C.
