Biography

Mr. Jason Foley is a career member of the Senior Executive Service, and currently serves as USAID’s Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) for Afghanistan and Pakistan.  Previously, Mr. Foley served as DAA for East Asia.  Before joining USAID, he served as the Director of Strategic Planning at the U.S. State Department, Budget Director at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Benin.  Prior to his government service, Mr. Foley was a senior manager for a consulting firm.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his Master’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where Mr. Foley also currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Center for Security Studies.
