Biography

Kehinde A. Togun is the Deputy Director of Partners Global’s Sub-Saharan Africa team where he leads the portfolio of governance and security programs on the continent. Prior to joining Partners, he was a Senior Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), with stints on the Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa, and Southern and East Africa teams. Mr. Togun also served as the Monitoring and Evaluation officer for NDI in Iraq; and during Nigeria’s 2011 elections, he trained and advised civil society in the Niger Delta as they monitored the electoral process. He previously worked with the Kigali-based Imbuto Foundation, writing a guide for parents on how to talk to children about sex and conducting a national evaluation of the African First Ladies’ Campaign, “Treat Every Child as Your Own.” Mr. Togun is a Truman National Security Fellow; he also serves on the Rutgers-Newark Dean’s Cabinet and on the board of a social justice organization, Border Crossers. He holds a Master’s degree from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey’s Newark Campus.
