Biography
Naureen Shah is director of Amnesty International USA’s Security and Human Rights program, which campaigns to end human rights abuses committed in the name of national security.
She is a frequent commentator and author of reports on surveillance, domestic counterterrorism investigations and prosecutions, drone strikes, torture and Guantanamo. She conducts advocacy with the White House, federal agencies, Congress, the UN and regional human rights bodies. Her previous positions include serving as Acting Director of Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Clinic and legislative counsel at the ACLU.
